NNJSの協力のもと、ネパール人医師と日本人医師のより良い交流を促進し、ネパール人眼科医の日本での研修も支援します。

手術のライブストリーミング配信や、全国の眼科研修医が参加するチャットグループを通じて、手術教育を常時行っています。
代表理事について
私は2006年に初めてアジア眼科医療協力会AOCAを通じてアイキャンプのためにネパールを訪れました。その時にケディア・アイ・ホスピタルを訪れ、飽浦先生の手術、ネパールでの活動に感銘を受けて、それがきっかけとなり、白内障手術の道に進みました。組織構成を見る
日本とネパール、二つの拠点での活動
日本における活動実績
2019年まで日本最大で最古の民間眼科病院である井上眼科病院（創業1881年）で副院長として従事し、同時にJSCRSの理事として、白内障手術の執刀および学術総会を中心に手術教育を行ってきました。現在は自身の全ての手術を日本中の研修医向けにインターネットを介してライブストリーミング配信を行っています。また、日本の眼科研修医約400名が加入するクローズドのSNS（チャットグループ）を運営し、手術教育を常時行っています。
ネパールにおける活動
2006年（ボジュプール）および2008年（サリヤン）にアイキャンプに参加しました。それから17年の歳月を経て、2025年3月よりNNJS協力の下、日本人眼科医の白内障手術トレーニングプログラムをケディア・アイ・ホスピタルで開始します。また、今後はネパールおよびケディア・アイ・ホスピタルとの関係をより深めて、ネパール人眼科医の日本における研修をサポートしたいと考えます。

In partnership with Kedia Eye Hospital in Nepal, we support cataract surgery training for Japanese ophthalmologists and exchange between doctors of both countries.

Cataract Surgery Training
Japanese ophthalmologists perform cataract surgeries under the supervisors of Kedia Eye Hospital.
Japan–Nepal Medical Exchange
In collaboration with NNJS, we promote better interaction between Nepali and Japanese doctors, and support training in Japan for Nepali ophthalmologists.
Surgical Education
Through live-streamed surgeries and a closed chat group for residents across Japan, we provide ongoing surgical education.
Message from the President
In 2006, I visited Nepal for the first time to participate in an eye camp through the Association for Ophthalmic Cooperation in Asia (AOCA). During that visit, I had the opportunity to observe surgeries at Kedia Eye Hospital and was deeply impressed by Dr. Akura's work and the activities being carried out in Nepal. This experience inspired me to pursue a career in cataract surgery.View Organization
Working in Two Countries: Japan and Nepal
Achievements in Japan
Until 2019, I served as the deputy director at Inoue Eye Hospital, the largest and oldest private eye hospital in Japan (established in 1881). As a director of JSCRS, I have performed cataract surgeries and taught surgical techniques, mainly through academic congresses. I now live-stream all of my surgeries online for residents across Japan, and run a closed chat group of about 400 ophthalmology residents for ongoing surgical education.
Activities in Nepal
I participated in eye camps in Nepal in 2006 (Bhojpur) and 2008 (Salyan). After 17 years, starting in March 2025, we are launching a cataract surgery training program for Japanese ophthalmologists at Kedia Eye Hospital in collaboration with NNJS. We also hope to deepen our relationship with Nepal and Kedia Eye Hospital and support Nepali ophthalmologists training in Japan.
